The connections between Stockholm airports and the city are frequent and efficient.

Arlanda Airport is connected by train and shuttle buses.

• By train – Arlanda Express and public transport.

Arlanda Express is a high-speed train that connects the airport to Stockholm’s central station in just 20 minutes. Tickets (including electronic ones) can be conveniently purchased online via the website or at the ticket machines located both at the airport and at Stockholm Central Station. Ticket prices vary, starting from around 300 SEK. It is recommended to purchase multiple tickets (sometimes there are family offers) or round-trip tickets.
From Arlanda, you can also take the commuter train (Pendeltåg) of the local public transport service (SL). The commuter trains connects the airport to the central station in the Swedish capital, but also to two other city stations: Odenplan (located north of the city, in the Vasastan district) and Stockholm Södra (located south, in the Södermalm district). However, the ticket is not included in the regular city tickets and passes, so an additional supplement must be purchased. Travel time: about 45 minutes.

• By bus – Flygbussarna, Flixbus, and public transport.

The most affordable alternative is the shuttle bus. The most organized company is Flygbussarna. On their website (available in English as well), you can check schedules and purchase tickets (including electronic ones). The shuttle buses arrive at and depart from Cityterminalen, the bus terminal located near Stockholm’s central station, from Liljeholmen (located southwest of the city), and from Bromma airport. Travel time: about 50 minutes, with possible intermediate stops. Another company operating the route from Arlanda to Stockholm (with intermediate stops) is Flixbus.

Alternatively, public transport is available, though this is undoubtedly the more complex and slower option.

• By taxi

It is, of course, possible to reach the city center by taxi. There are numerous companies, but we strongly recommend Taxi Stockholm or TaxiKurir. Services can be booked in advance via their websites or apps, and payment can be made either in advance or directly in the car (including with a credit/debit card). Where possible, we recommend choosing a fixed rate. The cost from Arlanda to central Stockholm should not exceed 900 SEK for a four-seat car. We always recommend agreeing on the price with the driver before departure to avoid unpleasant surprises!

Skavsta Airport is well connected by Flygbussarna shuttles. These shuttle buses only depart from and arrive at Cityterminalen, with a travel time of approximately 80 minutes. Flixbus also operates on this route. 

Bromma Airport is easily accessible by the local public transport service (SL).
