The most beautiful way to get to the Drottningholm Palace is the waterway along Lake Mälaren. Therefore, the excursion begins with a steamboat tour departing from the quay by The City Hall. The steamboat tour takes 1 hour, single way, and together we will enjoy the beatuiful nature which lines the shores of Lake Mälaren.
When arriving at the Drottningholm Palace we will enter the Royal Recidense in the same manor as Kings and Queen have done befor us. We will enter the palace and enjoy the grandeur of the Royal Apartments followed by a lunch at the nearby restaurant Karamellan.
After lunch we will take a stroll in the Royal Gardens which takes us from a strictly formal garden, planned at the end of the 17th century, to a more untamed English park followed by a more intimate boské quarter where we will find the China Castle. Ones a birthday gift from a King to his Queen.
The tour will end with a steamboat ride back to the quay by The City Hall.

To Drottningholm by boat
From May to October, Drottningholm Palace can be reached on board a former steam boat.
The crossing lasts about 60 minutes and the pier for departure is next to The City Hall in the city center.
