The blue tour
The “Blue Tour” is one of the most diversed tours, offered by StockholMania Tours. This tour combines the classic and modern history of Stockholm, presenting the very gist of the city, its everyday life, but also its history, traditions and customs.
The “Blue Tour” includes guided walks through the different city districts of Stockholm. While walking from one district to another you’ll get to discover the differences in characteristics that distinguish them from each other, and other curiosities that only city residents, such as us, have knowledge about. And then, for travel between the different sites, we use only public transportation– as to ad to the feel of experiencing the city in an authentic and direct way.
The “Blue Tour” also include a guided visit to the Drottningholm Palace, the residence of the current Royal Family, located outside the city center. The serenity while at the site will serve as a welcome respite and a contrast to the buzzling city life. With its lush Royal Garden and grand architectural design, it has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is therefor a must see during a stay in Stockholm.
Our “Blue Tour” is truly suitable for everyone: couples, families with children, groups of friends and larger groups. The tour is also optimized for cruise passengers making a stop in Stockholm during a Baltic cruise.

PROGRAM
- Metro Tour, explore Stockholm‘s metro stations: The Stockholm metro is known for being the longest art gallery in the world: in fact, there are so many stations that have been decorated, withever-changing themes, by contemporary artists. In addition, some of these stations were literally carved out of the rock: hence they got their nickname “cave-stations.” We will make a stop at a selection of the most interesting and iconic ones.
- Guided walk through the historical city center of Stockholm, The Old Town or Gamla Stan: one of the best-preserved medieval quarters in the world, the very cradle of the city and-in many respects-of Sweden as a whole. During the tour we will walk through the picturesque cobblestone alleys, pass by the main buildings and monuments, and get a glimpse of some hidden corners and symbols.
- Lunch: at a trusted restaurant or bar will be recommended according to preferences.
- Guided walk through the City Centre: Straddling the districts of Norrmalm and Östermalm is the busiest area of the Swedish capital: offices, stores, malls, markets. But also, theatres, parks and much more. Here we will discover one of the less touristy and more “everyday” parts of Stockholm. We will also visit the Hötorget covered market.
- Guided tour of the Drottningholm Palace: Also referred to as a Swedish Versailles in miniature, along with its 18th-century theatre and manicured Baroque and English gardens, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. This is the private residence of Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf.

Booking, payment and refund
ONE-DAY TOURS
To book a one-day tour, you must fill out the form on the respective tour pages. By clicking on a date in the calendar and selecting the desired time, a popup window will open where you can automatically calculate the price, complete the booking, and proceed with secure online payment.
Payment will be made via debit/credit card. Upon request, payment can also be made via bank transfer: contact us directly at info@stockholmania.tours for more information.
MULTI-DAY ITINERARIES OR CUSTOM ITINERARIES
For our two-day or longer itineraries, you will need to send an availability request through the form on the respective pages, filling in the required fields. The form automatically calculates the total price of the package, including all entry fees, transportation, and cruises/ferries (where applicable).
This request is non-binding and completely free of charge.
We will respond as soon as possible to confirm our availability or provide alternative solutions if necessary.
Once availability is confirmed, to finalize the booking of the requested tour or service, a form will be sent to you to fill out with your name, surname, and residential address*.
Subsequently, an invoice will be sent for a 50% deposit of the agreed amount, to be paid via bank transfer.
StockholMania Tours commits to holding the requested dates for a maximum of 3 days from sending the availability confirmation and an additional 3 days from sending the invoice for the deposit payment. After these deadlines, StockholMania Tours can no longer guarantee the agreed-upon tour.
The balance can be paid on the day of the tour or service via credit/debit card or, upon request, via bank transfer.
TRAVEL AGENCIES AND ORGANIZED GROUPS
Organized groups and travel agencies must pay an advance of at least 30% via bank transfer at the time of final confirmation of the tour or service. The balance must be paid at least one week before the tour or service.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES
In the event of unforeseen circumstances that force StockholMania Tours to cancel the agreed program or tour, the entire amount paid will be fully refunded, without any additional charges, to the card used for payment or via bank transfer.
If the customer cancels the service for any reason, StockholMania Tours will refund:
– the full amount paid, if the cancellation is made at least 10 days before the tour or service date;
– half of the amount paid, if the cancellation is made at least 72 hours before the tour or service.
NO CASH
StockholMania Tours, in line with the increasingly common practice in Sweden, does not accept cash payments.
*This information is required for billing purposes, as per Swedish regulations, and will be deleted from all our databases upon completion of the service.
