HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thank you to Milena for welcoming us so warmly to her country and for allowing us to discover Stockholm in the best possible conditions... among friends. We recommend Stockholmmania for organizing your day trip... in French and with ease. Milena shared Swedish life with us so well that we will be returning in June 2027 with Uppsala and hikes, including those around Stockholm, as our goals.

Discovering beautiful Stockholm with a guide who tells a story! Annalisa is the guide you'd always wish you had to explore places with an experiential approach that combines history, art, curiosities, and lifestyle. Stockholm is beautiful, but the tour we took definitely made it even more enjoyable, making our appreciation of such a unique city even more pleasant, enjoyable, and interesting. Our guide, Annalisa, was excellent in her preparation, knowledge, availability, and excellent communication skills. Not only that, she managed a diverse group, also in terms of age, demonstrating rare attention to everyone's needs and promptly answering questions and curiosities that ranged from history, art, politics, sociology, language, and food and wine. An experience I highly recommend and definitely repeat, as Stockholm certainly deserves a second visit and another tour, accompanied by Annalisa, of course.

Wonderful visit! A wonderful tour of Stockholm's magnificent City Hall, enhanced by the expertise and kindness of our guide, Federico, who provided us with extensive technical information about the building's construction and current institutional functions, aided by photographs displayed on his tablet. As we walked through the palace's magnificent rooms, Federico immersed us in the history of the city and Sweden, pointing out many aesthetic details we might otherwise have missed. An absolutely recommended experience if you truly want to appreciate one of Stockholm's must-see attractions.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful tour of Stockholm with Milena, our guide. We spent two half-days exploring it, and we were so glad we did—the city is magnificent and has so many streets, monuments, and viewpoints to discover! Milena knows the city's history very well and shared it with us—a tumultuous and extraordinary history, complete with some delightful anecdotes! We also had the opportunity to discuss with her the modern Swedish way of life, as well as the culture and political scene. This allowed us to become familiar with Stockholm's unusual geography, spread across its many islands. It's certain that on our own, we would have missed many interesting places... Thank you, Milena, for sharing your knowledge and your kindness!

We recently took a christmas lights and Old Town Stockholm tour with Emma. Emma was a wonderful guide and gave us a wonderful tour. She was very knowledgeable about both the history and helped us to understand many of the local customs. She was so easy to work with and flexible. We were originally scheduled to do the tour when we were arriving on our trip to Abisko but a late plane and an extremely slow customs department ruined that evening but she was kind enough to work in our tour on the way back home. Thank You Emma for a wonderful tour.

I accompanied a group of members of the Friends of the Loggione of the Teatro alla Scala from Italy and we had as tour leader Federico Puggioni, a very good and expert guide who showed us the most beautiful and important places in the city of Stockholm and also accompanied us to Uppsala, Sigtuna and Linkoping and then crossed the Gota Canal. It was a unique, important and unforgettable experience. I thank Federico for his patience and for the exhaustive explanations full of historical, cultural and current events references and also precious advice on restaurants. During my stay in Stockholm I took the “Swedes for a day” tour and I have to say that I am very satisfied. Federico has lived in Stockholm for many years, but was born and educated in Italy, so he is in the best position to describe Swedish society objectively, and that is what he does on this tour. His explanations give a clear picture of the Swedish model, without exaggerating its merits and without sugarcoating its defects and contradictions. The exhibitions are inspired by the places visited during the tour, expertly chosen by Federico. I should point out that I always book a guided tour when I visit European cities, and this is the first time I have found an offer of this type, but I have not regretted my choice. This tour is not suitable for those who come to Stockholm only to visit the places of major tourist attraction; instead, it is highly recommended for those who visit the city to learn the real aspects of Swedish society.

She is very knowledgeable about the city's history and showed us all the things we had requested to see. We highly recommend this company for future tours!

  Extraordinary experience
We spent 5 days in Stockholm in the company of Federico di StockholMania and it was an extraordinary experience. We were “pampered” from day one with meeting at our hotel, tickets for public transport purchased for us is an exquisite availability. We spent our days strolling through the alleys of the old town listening to anecdotes and details of history and customs, savored the delicious desserts during breaks in historic pastry shops, admired the city from the water while visiting the islands and were amazed by visiting its museums. A very prepared Guide who was able to fascinate us. Thank you Federico

I organized my stay in Stockholm in August 2024 (me, my husband and my brothers-in-law) and by chance I managed to find this site and I had the opportunity to meet Federico. I booked two half days with him, in one he showed us the historic center and the Royal Palace, in the other the Town Hall Palace, he took care of booking the tickets directly and also managed to get us those for the visit to the Town Hall Tower! Federico deserves at least 5 stars, he has an important general and specific culture of this city, he was very engaging in his stories and descriptions of Stockholm which for us was a real discovery. He is Italian, a godsend for us, he has lived permanently in this city with his family for many years, so he was able to tell us about the habits and customs of this place and we also took advantage of it to ask for information on the programs planned for the days we toured alone, very very correct in indicating places that.... we could have visited alone..... without his support. The experience with Federico was excellent. Absolutely recommended in all respects!

Wonderful experience. Federico is a wonderful person, a very knowledgeable guide who with discretion and patience (we did the tour of the city and Vasa museum with our 7 year old child) was able to involve all three of us in the magic of Stockholm, and in the fantastic Vasa museum. Unforgettable experience, thanks to Federico, expert Guide who was able to involve our 7-year-old. She dedicated the time with a naturalness that seemed to us to be walking through Stockholm with a friend, but extremely professional in the management of the whole scheduled visit, conveying the history of Stockholm, its curiosities and its magic that surrounds it. I add that entering the Vasa museum with Federico was fantastic, even for our child, the "wow" effect will never forget it!!

I am very satisfied with the walk with Federico in Gamla Stan and its surroundings. Federico picked us up at the hotel and guided us towards the historic center of Stockholm through panoramic points and typical streets of Soderman, the neighborhood where we were staying. His explanations were interesting and fun, interrupted by a pleasant stop for brunch. The Italian guide in the City Hall was also very useful, allowing us to avoid the obligatory guide in English. In conclusion, a more than positive experience. I highly recommend it

I realize that my review will be a little different from the others, we all say the same thing and this should remove any doubt for those looking for the best guide to Stockholm. Federico is everything you have already read: competent, passionate, knows how to delve into and intrigue and will be able to satisfy all your need to know. But Federico is much more, he is a great person who will introduce you to a city in a way that would be impossible to do alone and that is the result of study and insights that only those who love what they do can dispense to others.

Federico and StockholMania, you have found the guide in Italian that's right for you!
Federico, corresponds exactly to the profile reported on his Stockholmania website. He is a competent, attentive, respectful "guide" of his "guests". With him the tour will never be "tedious", you will get historical and contemporary information, compelling and capable of providing you with a clear and in-depth picture of Stockholm and the country. When the tour is over you will be sad but very happy for the wealth of knowledge you will take home. Congratulations to Federico. F

Federico guided us to discover Stockholm, taking us by the hand, without haste, in a low voice and with non-showy competence, in perfect Scandinavian style. We needed a general overview of the city, given the short stay (2 and a half days) that we had. And Federico fully satisfied this need. The entire walk (4 hours) was dotted with historical information, curiosities and anecdotes related to all the places visited. A deep lover of the Scandinavian lifestyle, he chose to fully experience Stockholm and Sweden without ever losing his Italian identity. We thank him for the work done in an exemplary way, without tiring us... if it were not for the approximately 8 km traveled!

  Stockholm...under the lens!
Two days of long walks to discover the most modern neighbourhoods, the Vasa Museum, Gamla Stan, some curious stations of the Tunnelbana, a trip also to Sodermalm with the beautiful view of the Town Hall where Federico had already led us to explore the splendid rooms where the Nobel Prizes are celebrated annually! The cruise with the passage of the locks that connect Lake Malaren and the Baltic Sea could not be missed. All flavored with historical and non-historical details, with anecdotes and comprehensive answers also on the daily life of Swedish life...Have you read Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy or seen the films???Then you will also be given some "goodies" about it.The tour allowed us to optimize the time, taking into account that in September many museums and buildings open from 10am to 5pm.I traveled with my husband and a couple of friends, all super satisfied with the choice made! There must be a reason!!??Don't underestimate that entrances and cruise are included in the price. Thanks for everything Federico 😊!

  Fantastic tour
With Federico Puggioni we visited Stockholm City Hall, we immediately interacted well with him as he is also our countryman but what distinguishes him is his cultural preparation on all fronts! We recommend visiting the entire city of Stockholm, which is beautiful, in the company of Federico!!Annapina and Sebastiano

  Interactive Guide
We know that Stockholm is a wonderful city, but you risk visiting it by leaving out details that make it, so to speak, magical! Not so if you rely on a guide like Federico: with him the visit becomes "interactive": he explains in a very effective way; he asks you; gives advice on how to best experience the city. The thing that struck me about Federico is his passion for what he explains: he independently studies the things he explains and is curious (a fundamental note for being good guides). With him, museums like the Vasa or the Abba Museum were opportunities to learn but also to discuss. We would have liked more time to acquire more data....maybe it's a ploy to get us to return to Stockholm!

Starting your stay in Stockholm, whether short or long, with a visit to the City Hall led by Federico is a winning idea. For the place, of particular beauty and interest, and for the guide: very knowledgeable (what he says is the tip of the iceberg of what he knows) and capable of involving and transmitting. What he tells is also very useful to begin to get to know Sweden and Stockholm and therefore to enjoy the rest of the stay even more.

It was our first visit to Stockholm! We were lucky in two ways: first, to find a fairly mild weather; second, to find a guide like Federico, extremely professional, passionate and captivating, so much so that he even kept the attention of his youngest son. What I liked most about Federico was that he was an "interactive" guide, able to let us enter the history of Stockholm by asking us questions and making us feel, in some way, a little Swedish. Thanks again and...see you next year.

I had the great pleasure of discovering Stockholm under the aegis of StockholMania tours with Isabelle, an exceptional private guide. Her in-depth knowledge of the city, combined with her boundless enthusiasm, allowed me to live an unforgettable experience. Each alley, each building, each story told was imbued with a passion and richness that could only come from someone who truly loves their city. What particularly struck me was her ability to personalize the tour according to my interests. Whether you are a lover of history, architecture, or simply curious about Swedish culture, Isabelle will guide you through the hidden gems of this magnificent capital. In addition, her professionalism and thoughtfulness made this tour not only informative, but also extremely enjoyable. She made sure that each step of our journey was comfortable, taking into account the pace of the walk, necessary breaks and even little touches like recommendations for the best local cafes and shops. I highly recommend Isabelle to anyone who wants to experience Stockholm in an intimate and personalized way. Thanks to her, I didn't just see Stockholm, I felt Stockholm.

I am writing you to complaint about the service your guide gave us when we were in Stockholm in mid July . We were a group of 13 but me , my mom and my daughter paid separately from the USA.
Elizabeth did not inform us that we would take public transportation . She made us walk a long distance from our cruise to the town bus . My mother with bilateral knee surgeries had difficulties to walk from our MSC cruise to the bus. But she didn’t care …

Also When i asked her if she could explain a little bit in English to my daughter as she did not speak English , she then said ‘NO , i can’t”.
During the tour in the beginning She waisted a lot of time in the beginning to explain the royal family pictures in front of the place ( one by one ) ( we all know and can google their names and what they do ) it was not interesting and we were all board
Last but not he least : We were under the impression that she would take us to the actual Nobel price building where the ceremony happens but instead she took us to the city hall ….

When i sent her an email to complaint, she in stead sent an complaint email to my sister and her husband who were in the group too but had nothing to do with my complaints and her action created a huge problem between me and my sister ! I feel she was dishonest and did it in purpose !
The email was from me to Elizabeth and i asked partial reimbursement for my mom and daughter . The money i paid from the USA !

  Careless guide
Careless guide ! Awful experience. Elizabeth the guide did not provide us adequate information before i purchased the tour regarding the amount of walking we had to make from our cruise to the « public transportation ( she foes not provide a mini van or private transportation ). Long walk with my mother who is 78 yo . Also When i asked her to explain a little bit in English to my daughter ( 16 yo) she said : »No! I dont « spent at least an hour on describing royal family photos in front of palais . I had to translate to my mom and daughter . Did not take us to Nobel prize building , but instead she took us to the city hall ….In addition when i sent her an email with the above complaints and requested partial reimbursement for my mom and daughter , she complaint to a family member of mine ( who were in the group) via email instead of communication directly with me . She did reply to me later but she already created a family crisis because of her unprofessional behavior ! Never again . I dont recommend her or the StockholMania Tours

We were in Stockholm on July 21st and visited the city with Federico. From the very beginning we understood that we would have an indelible memory of the city and the day. Not the usual tour, not the usual guide, not the usual itinerary. Federico made us grasp the beauty of the places from different perspectives leaving us with the desire to return again. The time passed quickly but we still managed to see all the best of the city: Gamla Stan, Sodermalm, the royal palace, the details of the subway, the Vasa museum and the Abba museum (only from the outside...we didn't have enough time to visit them), a particular covered market and much more... There are two ways to visit a city: one with a good map (and you have to be lucky) and one with an excellent guide. In Stockholm, we didn't have a map and we relied on an excellent guide, of whom we had already had positive reviews. Federico, the guide we chose, is Italian and has lived in Sweden for several years. He introduced himself to us with a smile, and it was a great start. We felt at ease with him also because, being Italian, we were able to ask him questions that allowed us to make comparisons with the customs of the Swedish people, so as to get to know them better. His mastery of the city was useful for visiting interesting and characteristic places that are not part of those practiced by "mass tourism". For example, he took us to a small garden, where there was a small monument dedicated to Cornelis Vreesvijk, a musician not mentioned in the guides and known only in Stockholm, who he called "the Swedish Guccini". All this to tell you that Federico will be able to surprise you by taking you for a walk around a city that only those who live there can present in this way.

I highly recommend it to everyone, cruise passengers and non-cruisers

Very interesting and unconventional visit We spent our first day in Stockholm with Federico. Not only did he define an ideal program for the visit to the city but he also gave us many tips for the following days. With great tact he responded in an extremely prepared, direct and authentic way to our many curiosities about the city and its inhabitants. His approach is absolutely unconventional and the comparison enriched us a lot. Highly recommended to everyone! Emanuela & friends, April 23, 2023

Start your stay with Stokholmmania.tour What a chance to start with a guided tour with Isabelle Allard! To choose to start your stay in Stockholm. History of the country, crossed with the visit of the city, and answer to our questions. We had chosen Stokholm between past and present. Top top! Thank you for everything. The Marion family

Federico and the heart of Stockholm. My wife and I spent a weekend in Stockholm, a beautiful city, but Federico with his explanations, his anecdotes and in the company of his guide, made it even more fascinating. Federico literally guides you inside Stockholm life, explains the history, the evolution of the city in an interesting and exhaustive journey, shows you the less touristy corners and the most characteristic views, from the first impact you have the feeling of having known Federico forever. Congratulations for his preparation and for the tour that made us discover the countless beauties of Stockholm.

We did the old town tour with Isabelle. She is an excellent guide, friendly and very professional with rich explanations about the city of Stockholm and its history. Do not hesitate to choose a tour with this provider, you will have a good time rich in education. Tours in French are rare, nothing is better than having one with someone French who has lived in Stockholm for more than 10 years, who understands the Swedes and Swedish life well and who loves his adopted city.

Absolutely recommended! We took the guided tour of the city with Federico and it was very interesting. He guided us around the main districts of Stockholm, making us discover many curiosities and providing us with a different point of view compared to the classic tourist tours, also telling us a bit about its history. Interesting to listen to the point of view of an Italian who moved to Stockholm to also grasp cultural similarities and differences between Italy and Sweden. The tour is customizable and organized for small groups so you can listen and interact with everyone. Absolutely recommended!!

The best guide in Stockholm Visit Stockholm for 6 hours with Isabelle ... what can I say except that the visit was perfect. The program proposed by Isabelle is very interesting and varied and allows you to get to know Stockholm and understand the Swedes in a short time. Totally bicultural, she knows how to explain Swedish habits to French people but also how the French are perceived. In addition to the perfect historical program for a family with two teenage girls, the Social Time is really pleasant and interesting.

As always, a suggestive and very impressive place. Impact. Used in the past by popes to escape attacks on the Vatican City, today a museum and a wonderful view of the city. Absolutely worth a visit and a walk under in the evening, very romantic with the yellow/orange lighting almost like a nativity scene.

Their stories of how this city, so particular, was founded and developed really enthralled and involved us. About a month ago we went to Stockholm. On the first day we organized a visit with Federico to Gamla Stan, the historic center. Excellent choice: Federico was friendly right from the start, he guided us through the streets of his city telling us about the historical and cultural aspects of the place. Explanations full of interesting anecdotes but never boring even for the little ones. He transmitted all his love and knowledge of the city. Even later he suggested excellent restaurants and places to visit for chat. Very helpful guide (also for timetables) and magnificent person! Highly recommended tour and to be repeated!

STOCKHOLM WITH THE WARMTH OF SARDINIA Federico is an exceptional guide who transmits the love for a city so different and far from his homeland, so much so that it is contagious. We spent a beautiful day, walking and admiring the wonders of Stockholm as if we were in the company of a good friend, rather than a guide. I recommend him to everyone and I can't wait to return to continue what we started! Thank you
