For many Swedes, Christmas Eve is one of the most magical days of the year. During the Christmas Holidays the dark winter season is finally illuminated and bursting with light, colors and dreams of a snowy winter. The scent of fresh  spruce branches and canded almond spreads across the city, enhancing your senses even while strolling around in the center of a bustling capital. 

During our guided tour  “The sparkling christmas lights of Stockholm” we will walk along the festively decorated and illuminated streets of the city center and savour it’s magical setting, just to find ourselves ending up at the traditional christmas market of Gamla Stan. The perfect location for experiencing the essence of Christmas Holiday traditions.

This tour will give you an unique opportunity to get an insight into the history, monuments and highlights of the Swedish capital in a warm and relaxed way. During the tour we will delve into some of the hidden corners outside the tourist circuits, but above all explore Swedish culture, customs and traditions related to the winter and Christmas period.

    Siamo state guidate da Federico in un giro di Stoccolma molto intenso , diviso in due giorni . Federico è un ragazzo preparato e sensibile, emozionato per la prima visita post lockdown!!! Forse per questo ci ha raccontato di Stoccolma sin nei minimi particolari portandoci anche in luoghi meno turistici ma non per questo meno attraenti. È disponibile a qualsiasi spiegazione e richiesta .. tre amiche ed un’adolescente da accontentare.. non è stata una impresa facile! Poiché il municipio era chiuso il sabato e la domenica, pur di farcelo vedere, ci ha accompagnate anche il lunedì mattina per un paio di ore. Che dire, la sua passione per il mestiere che fa e la sua integrazione a Stoccolma sono un ottimo mix per chi vuole conoscere la città soprattutto se ha poco tempo a disposizione.     Stoccolma, quando l’abbiamo vista noi a fine novembre, brillava già con le luci di Natale. Senza una guida, però, ci saremmo trovati a girare in tondo, limitandoci alla città vecchia e ai negozi per turisti. Per fortuna, invece, abbiamo contattato Federico: nonostante il poco preavviso, è riuscito ad organizzarci una visita personalizzata e ci ha accompagnato a spasso per la città. Sceglietelo come guida! In modo interessante e mai pesante sa raccontare Stoccolma e la sua storia.     Abbiamo avuto la possibilità di visitare Gamla e Nodermalm con Federico, che ci ha intrattenuto per un’intera mattinata con racconti che spaziavano dal quadro storico-politico alle curiosità della vita quotidiana dello stoccolmese tipo. Non si è trattato di una classica visita guidata con fredde nozioni imparate a memoria, ma di una visita completa che ci ha fatto comprendere l’essenza della città. Federico è molto competente, ha saputo mantenere alta l’attenzione senza mai annoiare. Ritornerò sicuramente per scoprire altri angoli della città!!

    Passeggiando per le vie di questa stupenda città, Federico ci ha fatto appassionare a Stoccolma e all’intera Svezia.Preparatissimo dal punto di vista storico e con linguaggio semplice ci ha spiegato anche tante curiosità e aneddoti della Stoccolma odierna, con un confronto aperto e molto costruttivo.Con la sua gentilezza e disponibilità il tempo trascorso con lui è volato ed è stato piacevolissimo!!Highly recommended!!!

    Booking, payment and refund

    The availability request for our tours and services is totally free.

    Upon final confirmation of the tour or service, 50% of the total amount must be paid in advance. Payment can be made online (through a secure link that will be sent) or by bank transfer. If desired, it is possible to proceed with the payment in advance of the entire agreed sum. Otherwise, the balance will be paid on the day of the tour by credit/debit/prepaid card.

    StockholMania Tours, in keeping with the increasingly widespread practice in Sweden, does not accept cash payments.

    Organized groups and travel agencies will have to proceed with the advance payment of the entire fee, by bank transfer, at least 15 days before our tour or service is provided.

    StockholMania Tours undertakes to block the requested dates for a maximum of 3 working days from the sending of the confirmation of availability. If the date has passed and the customer has not completed their booking, StockholMania Tours will no longer be able to guarantee any tour agreed upon the date requested.

    In the event that the customer cancels – no matter the reason- the service, StockholMania Tours will return:

    • the entire amount paid, if the cancellation is made at least one week before the date of the first tour;
    • half of the amount paid, if the cancellation is made at least 72 hours before the tour;
    • no sum if the cancellation occurs less than 72 hours before the tour.

    For each booking, a regular tax receipt will be issued which will be delivered to the booker at the time of payment for the tour, or sent via email to the address provided at the time of booking.
